The Freedom to Live and Love
At The
Complete Bear, we believe in
celebrating life and being who we are. No
closets, no stereotypes, and acceptance of
the furry (often round) bodies that we live
in - basically it's about living fully. Our
definition of living fully includes the
freedom of choice. We advocate for the
freedom for all people to marry, to adopt, to
serve and to live and love how
they choose.
We believe in making informed
healthy choices, but realize ultimately it is
up to you
to decide what's best for your mind, body
and spirit. When it comes to feeding your
brain, we feel the same way.
Not every movie, TV show or book is to our
liking, but we appreciate that others may
find value in choices that do not appeal to
us. And we appreciate that we have the option
not view or read things that are not to our
liking. The key word being the "option" or
freedom to choose.
This week is the American Library
Association's Banned
Books Week
You have the right to choose. You have the
right to vote. You have the right to stop
discrimination. You have the right to make a
difference.
So whether its a book about gay
penguins or
the
right to marry your husbear - we must
fight and protect these liberties as if our
lives depended on it - because they do!
